2022 Eric's Reserve Petite Sirah
Tasting Notes:
The 2022 Eric's Petite Sirah from Dry Creek Valley offers a rich and decadent drinking experience, with hedonistic aromas of black cherry, mocha, and toasty cedarwood, followed by flavors of anise, blackberry, plum, and crushed stone minerality on the palate. Full-bodied with firm tannins that create a solid foundation for the fruit and spice character, this wine is a real crowd-pleaser and perfect for pairing with applewood-smoked meats or hard cheeses.
Appellation Notes: Dry Creek Valley
Soon after the California Gold Rush, settlers eyed this fertile landscape and came to plant their vineyards. This is one of the first and smallest American Viticultural areas and has proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The morning fog softens the warm days, leaving a great temperature balance for the grapes to develop their true varietal character. This Petite Sirah boasts aromas of dark cheery and anise followed by flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, and cedar. Rounded, medium tannins make this wine a crowd favorite.
